That’s right, there are no such terms!  The catch phrase, or oft-used buzz words that are most recently gracing the innovation and (tech) entrepreneurial landscape are “Mobile First”. Mobile First means, think mobile, think often, think small screen, few words, icon navigation, fingertip access, anytime, anywhere, and everyone. Do it now, do it on mobile.

The robots in us wish to do one of two things, go all in on the consumer side of mobile or take the enterprise route to extend my desktop to my mobile device. The Mobile First mantra is multi-faceted. It should speak to consumer-focused companies, it should speak to enterprise IT professionals, it should speak to everyone – but not how you think.

Mobile First Mobile OnlyMobile First is first, an education. And lesson #1 is that mobile is different. Behavior is different, access is different, and reading is different. Making an impact and creating engagement is different.

And this brings me to Red e App (doesn’t it always). The one area that we robots often overlook in applying tech to communication and engagement (a term that is slowly becoming hip again), is the way we engage and enable our employee populations.

Let’s face it folks, the U.S. workforce is changing dramatically. Old norms are no longer normal. Workers are now looking for more from their employers. They want flexible hours, better training, stronger alignment to company objectives and the respect and acknowledgement of the vital role they play in extending your brand promise.

Sure, sure, sure, there are some who lick your taco shells, exclaim from the roof tops that they hate customers and such. But for the most part, your workforce should be trusted, engaged, enabled and communicated to. Early and often.

What better way to say, “you’re hired!” than Red e App. Red e App makes all organizational systems stronger, more timely, more efficient and extends a hand to hourly and mobile workers and meets them where they live – at their mobile device.

With easy access to company information, scheduling, training and for the first time ever (drum roll please) a VOICE! Speak to your workforce, gather their input, and solicit ideas. And think Mobile First – they are – we promise.
