Will enterprise companies pay for secure, private, and cloud based computing technology?

A few weeks ago I was talking with a very experienced business professional and entrepreneur about Red e App and what we have built and what still lies ahead, especially for the enterprise world in regards to cloud computing and the mobile revolution of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). One of the questions that was asked to me during that conversation (and rightly so) was, “Will anyone ever pay to use the communication platform you all have built?”

It’s a legitimate question every startup company faces. Well, the truth is we ALREADY have paying clients but taking the question further, “Will enterprise companies pay for secure, private, and cloud based computing technology?” There are many companies focusing on the enterprise, cloud, and mobile cocktail. One such company is Box. You may have heard of the consumer cloud-based storage leader Dropbox, but what about Box?

The CEO and co-founder of Box is Aaron Levie. Aaron was interviewed Monday, February 4th by the WSJ.  He speaks more than just about cloud and storage. He details why mobile is changing the way businesses are going to work in the future, offers some predictions for BlackBerry and the other mobile operating systems, and yeah, Aaron answers the question that was posed to me earlier. Watch the WSJ video to the end for his answer.
