Throughout the history of the world, the hourly worker has been ignored. Red e App is here to change that, and global companies are taking notice.

Louisville is the home of Red e App for a reason. In our backyard are some of the largest employers of hourly and mobile workforces in the world – GE Appliances, United Parcel Service Inc., Yum! Brands Inc., Papa John’s, and Texas Roadhouse Inc. We are here to help them engage their employees, making them more productive than ever.

2014 was a big year for Red e App, and 2015 is poised to be even bigger. Louisville Business First recently interviewed Red e App CEO Jonathan Erwin about the present and future of the company, why companies like Red e App so much, and some of the details that show our growth:

Erwin said Red e App has no outbound sales force — a point of pride because it means customers are approaching his company for a solution.

“They’re finding us online because the problem is there,” he said. Starbucks, for example, contacted the company because it is interested in surveying its employees, he said.

Hosparus Inc., a local nonprofit organization that offers hospice care, uses Red e App to provide its clinical staff with a secure system to easily access patient information, said Melissa Turner, system analyst at Hosparus. Turner helped train the staff on how to use the app, and she said it’s an easy process that employees learned quickly.

“There’s lots of benefits to the app, in that it is secure, it is HIPAA compliant, which is huge for us,” she said.

Most of Hosparus’ clinical staff tend to patients at their homes, hospitals or nursing homes. Before using the app, employees were notified a patient needed help via text messages, but they had to call the main office for the details. Now, all the information is housed in the app.

Hosparus began working with Red e App about two years ago. It has been fully implemented with the 350-employee clinical staff since August, Turner said.  Read the Hosparus Case Study for details

What does 2015 have in store for Red e App? The future looks bright: Erwin’s goal is to double the company’s employees and quadruple its revenue in 2015. Learn about Red e App and the its global implications
