While many newspapers have floundered over the last ten years, Florida Today, a daily newspaper covering news, sports and entertainment on the Space Coast, has flourished. It is no mystery that more and more people are reading news on their smartphones every day, and fewer people are reading physical newspapers anymore. So I have my suspicions that part of their success is due to the fact that they have a free mobile app (FLORIDA TODAY in the app store), a mobile site, and a nice tablet/desktop site.
FLORIDA TODAY is located in Melbourne, FL, and their parent company is Gannett, which also owns USA Today.
