#MobileChat No. 143: Photography – there’s an app for that

InstagramIn 2002 the first camera phones went on the market and changed the way we use our devices. As phone camera quality continues to get better and app stores providing users with limitless amounts of photography apps, you hardly need a separate camera unless you are a professional photographer.

There are thousands of photography apps that do various things. From filtering to sharing, there’s an app for that. Here are a few favorites:

  • Instagram– Obviously this is a favorite. With millions of users and the ability to filter and share, this has to be number one!
  • VSCO Cam– If you love editing photos and videos this is the app for you. Think Adobe Premiere and Lightroom on your phone!
  • PicLab HD– This app will help you anytime you want to create those sappy photos with quotes. All you have to do is add a preloaded graphic and some typography!

Those are just photography based apps though. Developers across the globe are taking it a step further with apps like Sketchy and PixelWakker that help turn your photos into art. I’m excited to see how far mobile takes photography.

Join us Wednesday, July 1st from 9-10pm ET via #MobileChat on Twitter for a live Q/A . We want to know what your favorite photography apps are!
