With Thanksgiving and the winter holidays quickly approaching, many will be gathering with friends, family, and colleagues to celebrate. One of the pressing issues during the holiday season is of course traveling safety – especially around the consumption of alcohol.
Mixing drinking and driving is never a good combination for anyone. So wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to help people make smart and informed choices after having a few drinks?
One such company is looking to encourage mobile safety by transforming your smartphone into a breathalyzer. The company is called Breathometer and is the invention of visionary entrepreneur Charles Michael Yim (@charlesmyim).
How does Breathometer work? Simply plug the Breathometer dongle (available for pre-order now) into your smart device, blow into the opening on the device, and receive instantly your blood alcohol content (BAC).
The app allows you to make a smart choice by informing you when you’ll be sober and/or has immediate access via the app to call a cab.
