Shelbe is not OpenAI's GPT wrapped in a chat UI. Every architectural choice below is purpose-built for the frontline context.

  • Sovereign grounding

    Shelbe is grounded exclusively in customer-provided documents — SOPs, policy manuals, training materials, regulatory documentation. The model never references the open internet. Every answer carries a citation to the source document.

  • Permission-gated retrieval

    Workers can only retrieve from content they're authorized to see. A registered nurse can ask about medication policy; a housekeeper cannot. Permission boundaries are enforced at retrieval time, not just at display.

  • Multilingual native

    Shelbe handles 24+ languages natively. Frontline workforces are multilingual; the AI must be too. Translation is round-trip with the source-language citation preserved.

  • Maker-checker on consequential actions

    When Shelbe is asked to do something consequential — change a schedule, request time off, file a safety incident — the action enters Agent Hub orchestration with human-in-the-loop approval. AI proposes; named humans dispose.

Shelbe runs Anthropic Claude via AWS Bedrock with customer-managed KMS keys. Customer documents are vectorized into per-customer private stores. Retrieval is permission-aware, cited, and audited via Scout. Maker-checker workflow orchestration is delegated to Agent Hub. No customer data is used for model training; no cross-customer leakage; full audit trail.
