This week we are celebrating Red e App’s 100th mobile chat – that’s 2 years of weekly chats with mobile experts, developers and users. We’re celebrating the 100th episode by talking about how mobile has changed the world we live in and the uncharted landscape ahead. Considering Cisco thinks that by 2020 50 billion devices will be connected to the internet, I think that we are just getting started.
There’s no doubt that our lives are mobile first. Already, 34% of cell internet users go online mostly using their phones and not using another device such as a laptop. Here at Red e App, we understand the importance and attachment people have to their mobile devices.
Employees, particularly millennials, want connection. The proliferation of devices gives a means to engage employees, but as we have stated previously, it won’t happen overnight. A culture where employers can trust their employees and vice versa must be fostered. Stronger alignment and awareness of company objectives, and the simple respect that comes with direct communication, significantly improves employee engagement and trust. If employees understand and are appreciated for the role they play in the companies success, they will be much more engaged and willing to work hard.
